A Toleman-Hart racecar driven by F1 legend Ayrton Senna is on sale in London for a cool £1 million. The Formula One machine, which saw the talented Brazilian driver fight his way up the 1984 F1 grid in his rookie year, is now up for grabs through car dealer and tuner Prindiville.
This F1 car has true provenance, with Senna nearly winning the 1984 Monaco grand prix in it, despite being his first visit to the grueling street circuit and starting way back in 13th on the grid.
The race saw a deluge of torrential rain submerging the track, but though Senna was fighting against more experienced drivers behind the wheel of impressive cars from the likes of Ferrari, McLaren, Lotus, Williams and Renault to name a few, he managed to get past all of his rivals.
By lap 32 of the waterlogged race Senna had managed to overtake race leader Alain Prost, with the race stopped shortly afterwards, leaving the Brazilian believing that he had won. However, it wasn't to be Senna's day, as a decision was made to base the final ranking on the lap before the red flag came out, stealing the win from him.
This million pound machine still bears the livery from Senna's stunning Monaco performance and is being sold with a substantial history file and a set of studio photos. This Toleman-Hart will receive re-commissioning before being delivered to its new owner.
