They don't make 'em like they used to – if you subscribe to that view on performance cars you may be interested to hear that a rare and nearly unused Lancia Delta Integrale is about to come on the market.

Silverstone Auctions will be offering the 1992 Martini liveried model – built to celebrate Lancia's success in the World Rally Championship – at its Race Retro sale on February 21-22.

Mechanically identical to the sought after 'Evoluzione' homologation model, this Integrale sends 207bhp to all four wheels from its 2.0–litre turbocharged petrol motor.

However, its former owner clearly wasn't seduced by the power on offer, as this example has been driven only once, covering 31 miles in its 22 years – and that was from the supplying dealer to the owner's storage facility. The reality is they don't come much more pristine than this.

It's part of a limited run, too – further adding to the exclusivity. The example offered is number 124 of a 400-strong production run of 'Martini' cars, and features unique upgrades such as white wheels, contrasting black bonnet vents, red seatbelts and a full Alcantara interior.

Guy Lees-Milne, general manager at Silverstone Auctions commented:"As a limited edition special, produced to celebrate the Integrale's success in the World Rally Championship, these cars are incredibly rare indeed.

"So, to find such a perfect example with just a few miles on the clock really is an exceptional feat. What's more, there are few surroundings more appropriate than Race Retro to offer the car for sale."
