McLaren has created this unusually humourous Back to the Future themed clip featuring new teammates Jenson 'McFly' Button and Fernando 'Doc' Alsonso, to mark the unveiling of its 2015 F1 car, the MP4-30.
In the sketch we see Alonso has turned a McLaren 650S into a time machine and he encourages Button to take a ride with him. The Brit suggests they revisit the 1988 Brazilian Grand Prix where Ayrton Senna won in his McLaren Honda but instead they decide to go back to the future, to the first race of 2015 in Melbourne.
The pair's acting is as cringe-worthy as you would expect from a two Formula One World Champions (Button has improved slightly since his Head & Shoulders advert, so give him a chance), but it does make a pleasant change to see Alonso actually looking excited about something.
Fans of the film franchise should probably look away now. All your favourite lines have been used. Click play below to see for yourself.
