Automotive manufacturers are endlessly putting their latest vehicles through comprehensive tests to ensure they go faster, stop harder and use less fuel than the model it replaces. While most spend their time pounding round the Nurburgring, or sending their car to the far reaches of the Arctic circle, Mazda has decided to take a different tack, by lining its 3 hatchback up against some dogs.
Yes, that's right, dogs. Answering the question that literally no one was asking, Mazda has released a video of its car taking part in a series of different trials against an array of the hairy critters. Who wins? Find out by clicking play below.
We'll state the obvious now and say that this isn't really Mazda's battery of tests for its (rather accomplished) 3 hatchback, but rather an advertising campaign aimed at increasing the car's appeal to animal-loving UK car buyers.
