A policeman let superstar boxer and I'm A Celebrity contestant David Haye off with just a verbal warning after catching him "enjoying his car" in return for a snap with the heavyweight, it has been revealed.
> Policeman Hitesh Patel posted an image of himself with Mr Haye's arm draped over his shoulder to his Twitter account, saying: "When we met after you were 'enjoying' your car."
Haye, 33, then replied to the tweet, saying: "Thanks for not nicking me!!" before re-tweeting to his legions of online followers.
The image was allegedly snapped beside a busy road in West London but PC Patel soon removed the snap for fear of an angry backlash by social media users.
But he wasn't quick enough as Twitter user Ricky soon fumed, "Famous so gets away with it... jQuery1910858157972805202_1398251583371?" while Skrabl replied, "Well done Pat, doing the taxpayer proud."
A spokesperson from Scotland Yard told The Sun: "The officer stopped a driver for driving too fast in a built-up area and gave the driver a verbal warning."
The spokesperson was also quick to point out that the image was taken three years ago but PC Patel chose to post it online just a few days ago. The Yard added: "The officer recently sent a photo from that night on Twitter, which he chose to delete after receiving negative feedback."
