David Hasselhoff clears out his garage and puts KITT up for sale

An upcoming auction in California will see a selection of David Hasselhoff's prized possessions put up for sale, including a KITT Knight Rider car gifted to the telly star by one of his fans.
> The KITT offered by Julien's Auctions in Beverly Hills isn't one of the four official models used in filming – those are all accounted for – but a replica given to 'the Hoff' by Knight Rider super fan Jennifer Catano.

Talented mechanic Catano used a 1986 Pontiac Firebird with its a 305 5.0-litre V8 engine as the donor machine and busily set about adding the famous 'scissor' doors, strobing red bonnet lights and gadget-strewn interior.

To get Knight Rider fans and Hasselhoff himself truly dribbling with delight, the replica machine also features over 4,000 sound effects and clips from the show that can be played on demand by the driver.

Other items in the madcap auction include an original Baywatch jacket signed by Hasselhoff, a Harley-Davidson motorcycle and various bits of tat that the 1980s heartthrob clearly doesn't want anymore.

The auction is in conjunction with a new American reality show titled 'Celebrity Home Raiders' – an episode of which stars Hasselhoff – where stars invite viewers into their homes for an exclusive look at some of their prized possessions.

The replica KITT is set to fetch between £18,000 and £30,000, if you're interested.
