The German marque has dropped the silk sheet from its latest high-performance entry into the ever-expanding line-up.
The SLS AMG GT Final Edition may not be the most snappily-titled car on the planet but it is destined to be one of the most potent as it will feature the iconic 6.3-litre V8 engine that produces around 590bhp.
Mercedes has let the design team go a bit mad on this model as it is a celebration to mark the end of the current generation. Just 350 units will be produced but they will feature bespoke bodywork such as a carbon fibre bonnet and front splitter, along with a redesigned front bumper and new brakes.
A replacement for the fiery SLS has already been announced and it will wear the SLC moniker for now. It is expected to be slightly smaller than the current SLS and sport a more frugal 4-litre V8 that produces around 500bhp.
It is said to be a direct response to Porsche and will likely take on the 911 turbo in terms of performance and price.
Full details of the SLS AMG GT Final Edition will be revealed at the LA motor show later this month but for now, you can check out the slideshow below
