The first official image of the new Jaguar F-Type Coupé has been revealed.
Jaguar released the image earlier this week, along with the news that the hard-top version of the already-popular F-Type Convertible will make its global debut at the Los Angeles Motor Show on the 19th of November.
The new model was previewed by the Jaguar C-X16 concept, which was unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 2011, before even the Convertible had gone on sale.
While technical details of the new model remain firmly under wraps, it's thought that it'll feature the same engine range as its drop-top sibling.
That'll mean a choice of two V6 and one V8 petrol engines, all supercharged, with power levels ranging from 335bhp to 488bhp.
"The excitement generated when we revealed the C-X16 concept was terrific; so to now be on the cusp of what I can assure you will be a drama-filled reveal event in Los Angeles for F-Type Coupé is a very significant moment," says Ian Callum, Jaguar's director of design.
"We've been overwhelmed by the positive reaction to F-Type Convertible, but for me the purity of creating a sports coupé is a uniquely satisfying process - and I know that both visually and dynamically, F-Type Coupé raises the bar yet again."
