A rare and rather beautiful Mercedes-Benz Pagoda formerly owned by TV and radio presenter Chris Evans is due to go under the hammer later this month.
The baby blue 1965 Mercedes-Benz 230SL Auto is part of an upcoming auction held by Anglia Cars Auctions in Kings Lynn and experts believe it will reach between £18,000 and £22,000.
The Pagoda – dubbed so because of its concaved hardtop roof – was formerly owned by the famous Radio 2 and The One Show presenter but he sold it in 2001 to one the UK's leading Pagoda specialist.
Evans is famous for his extensive car collection that includes a number of rare and very expensive Ferraris, a pink Rolls-Royce and plenty of vintage Fords, Jaguars and Porsches. He even owns a Chitty-Chitty Bang Bang replica.
Experts at Anglia Car Auctions claim that the vehicle could do with a good clean and a solid dose of car wax but with tax and an MOT, it is ready to hit the open road.
A brace of other sought-after Mercedes are also on sale in the auction that takes place on November 9, including a 1971 280SL that could fetch as much as £60,000, a left-hand drive 1956 190SL and a massive 1963 220 SEB.
