With all the hype surrounding the latest crop of advanced hybrid hypercars – take a step forward McLaren P1 and Ferrari LaFerrari – it's easy to forget about the Pagani Huarya.
Packing 700bhp from its twin-turbocharged 6.0-litre Mercedes AMG engine and eye-popping Italian design, the Huarya is the last bastion of the old-school petrol head. No KERS or hybrid-drive here, just rear-wheel-drive, massive power and a shape born for bedroom walls.
To remind us what it is all about, Pagani has created this short film showing the Huarya stalking around Miami, causing a stir with its boosty turbo engine and magnificent active-aero flaps.
The video was created largely to celebrate the Huarya's US market homologation – a significant hurdle in bringing the car to the American market, and a stumbling point for many American petrolheads looking to import esoteric European sports cars.
