The frontman of funky pop outfit Jamiroquai is renowned for many things: his love of oversized hats, ability to slide around a stage in style and his public penchant for extremely fast cars.
> Jay Kay's countryside abode has almost as much space dedicated to vehicles as it does to humans, with a collection of over 50 vehicles that constantly chops and changes as new models are released.
The latest addition to a collection that includes a Ferrari Vignale 330 GT, a Porsche 911 2.7 RS and a number of stunning Lamborghinis is an eye-catching Audi RS 6 Avant in Ibis white.
The potent estate packs a 4-litre TFSI engine that kicks out just shy of 560bhp. It's no slouch and the perfect runaround for a man used to popping to the shops in a Ferrari. "He has been in RS Avants since 2001 and his a great fan of the RS brand," said an Audi spokesperson.
"The Audi RS 6 is the latest in a long line of fast Audis and Jay Kay will use it as his everyday runaround," he added.
A picture surfaced on Twitter that depicted a very pleased Jay Kay stood alongside his new acquisition that also happened sit between two other notable Audi quattro products. Arguably the most collectible is the 1986 white Audi Sport Quattro with just 40,000 miles on the clock. "The car is in mint condition," said our source at Audi.
"A car like that, in cracking condition is probably worth around £130,000 on today's market but the values are rapidly creeping up with demand."
The RS 6 Avant is unlikely to command those sorts of figures in 20 years but we can think of much worse vehicles to tackle the daily commute in.
