Grainy images that give the faintest hints of styling direction for Porsche's latest SUV have started to circulate the Internet ahead of its official unveiling at the LA motor show next month.
The teaser image- that sees the Macan heavily backlit by a burst of bright light – doesn't reveal too much but the quad LED running lights that are illuminated look distinctly like those found on the ultra-cool 918 Spyder.
Auto Express reports that the Macan will feature a 254bhp 3.0-litre V6 diesel that, according to Porsche's Facebook page, will return a claimed 46.3mpg and emit 159g/km of CO2.
The range-topping 394bhp 3.6-litre V6 Turbo claims 30.7mpg and 216g/km CO2 emissions.
Pricing is still very much under wraps but those in the know suggest that the cheapest diesel model could come in at under £40,000, putting it on par with an entry level Porsche Boxster.
The latest SUV will likely become the German marque's best selling vehicle, reiterating the fact that it has clearly moved from a niche sportscar producer to a serious contender in the premium market.
The video below goes some way to tease the upcoming model but we will all have to wait until November 20 for the full details.
