It is common knowledge among car lovers that an even more potent Nissan GT-R model is on its way that will be capable of smashing the 0-62mph sprint time in an astonishing 2 seconds.
Rumours suggest the mean machine will be powered by the same twin-turbocharged 3.8-litre V6 engine but performance will be increased from around 548bhp to 570bhp.
Combined with a strict diet of weight saving measures, the Nismo GT-R should be just about the fastest thing to roll off a Nissan production line and to prove this, the Japanese marque has been hacking it around the infamous Nurburgring in an attempt to set a record-breaking time.
The chaps at Bridge to Gantry – a dedicated Nurburgring blog – have recently spied a heavily camouflaged Nisomo GT-R tackling the track with the "full compliment of safety marshals and timing beacons."
All of which suggests a scorching new lap time is due to be unveiled anytime soon but on the meantime, you can take a look at the car burning around the German circuit below
