A man and woman are being sought by police over the suspected theft of a BMW after they failed to return from a test drive.
The pair took the car from Knightsbridge Cars in Barrow, Cumbria, last Thursday and neither they nor the car have been seen since.
The dealership has now released CCTV images of the couple – who appear to be in their 30s – looking at cars on the forecourt before entering the showroom.
The car, a BMW 3 Series convertible, has 52,000 miles on the clock and is still listed on the dealer's website for £18,991.
The couple – who spoke with Welsh accents – were allowed to take the Sapphire black drop-top unaccompanied on the basis of trust, with the dealership never having had a similar problem in the past.
Police are now trying to locate the vehicle and fear it may now be wearing false number plates.
