For most drivers, belting up is as natural a process when jumping behind the wheel as zipping up after a toilet break. It's a common sense safety device that is a person's first line of defence in the event of a big accident.

However, despite seat belt use being mandatory across most of the world, there is still a small group of motorists who refuse to use them. Whether they're uncool or uncomfortable, belting up is just not part of their motoring routine.
