A pristine Aston Martin DB6 Mk 1, previously owned by chat show host and once Countdown presenter Des O'Connor, is set to fetch between £100,000 and £120,000 when it goes on sale next month.
Aside from once being the property of one of Britain's best-loved entertainers, it's also a stunning example of the 4-litre coupe that first came to market in the late 1960s.
> Nick Whale, managing director, Silverstone Auctions, said: "Des was the first owner of this exquisite 1966 DB6 and it would appear he didn't hold back as every conceivable option was ordered, including power steering, heated rear screen and air conditioning.
"If that wasn't enough then the lucky new owner will also get pictures of Des when he owned the car which are included in the history file."
The auction will take place on Saturday, July 27, situated in the grounds of the famous Grand Prix circuit during the Silverstone Classic race weekend.
Offered in an eye-catching Oyster Special Grey exterior with brilliantly contrasting Special Red interior, the DB6 is one of the few examples in this country available in such good condition.
"The Silverstone Classic Sale, one of the highlights at the world's biggest classic motor racing festival, offers a rare opportunity to own a truly incredible car, the first time it has been offered for public sale in 35 years."
