The Fiat 500L didn't really need to be made any uglier but the Italian firm has done just that by stretching it and adding an extra row of seats.
The 500L MPW – that stands for Multi Purpose Wagon – will be heading to the UK as a 5+2 seater, with the final row stashing away when not in use and freeing up extra boot space.
The MPW is 201mm longer and rides 10mm higher than the standard 500L it is based on, which means boot space is increased by a very impressive 238 litres when the extra seats are folded flat.
Engine options mirror those of the 500L, meaning 94bhp 1.4 and 104bhp 0.9-litre TwinAir petrols, plus a 104bhp 1.6-litre and 84bhp 1.3-litre diesels. The latter can be specified with an automatic gearbox.
Fiat's funky trim levels also carry over so customers can indulge in Popstar, Easy and Lounge, which all come in over 19 different exterior colours.
Customers can also choose from 15 different styles of wheel so their 500L MPW is truly individual.
Fans of the roominess, practicality and slightly strange styling will have to wait until 2014 when the 500L MPW is slated to head to the UK.
