The beautiful machine sat before your eyes is the brand new concept vehicle from BMW. A joint effort from the German marque's own creative division and iconic design house Pininfarina.
The elegant Gran Lusso concept was officially unveiled at Italy's illustrious Villa d'Este Concorso d'Eleganza earlier this month and received praise for its subtle yet distinctive design.
> The V12 coupe may just be a styling exercise for now but many industry insiders believe the curvaceous shape could go on to heavily influence a rumoured BMW 8-series model.
The concept rides on colossal 21-inch wheels and measures up around the same sort of size as the current 7-series.
The classic pinched grille and exterior silhouette that have become BMW trademarks feature heavily but Pininfarina's flowing curves and steeply raked rear window add an extra touch of luxury.
There is no word on engine specifics, apart from the fact it is powered by a V12, which could hint towards the 536bhp 6.0-litre twin-turbo found in the 760Li.
Inside, the Gran Lusso features an array of exotic materials, including kauri wood trim sourced from New Zealand and a roof lining finished in Italian virgin wool.
