A National Express bus driver has been suspended after being caught having sex in his double decker bus.
The driver, who operates the remote No17 route in Dundee, stopped his bus on a secluded, buses-only stretch of road, turned off the lights and ventured upstairs with an unidentified passenger.
Unfortunately, the driver seemed to forget that all National Express buses carry internal CCTV and he was found out by fleet bosses after a routine review of the footage.
Speaking to the Daily Record, a source at the Dundee depot commented: "It's a bit embarrassing for the driver. He was on a remote run late at night and obviously wanted a bit of hanky-panky.
"We're not sure if they knew each other. There wasn't anyone else on the bus and by all accounts it only lasted a couple of minutes. It was described as a 'kiss and a cuddle'."
In an official statement, a National Express Dundee spokesman said: "We can confirm an incident took place on a 17 service involving a member of staff. The individual is suspended and the incident is currently the focus of an internal investigation."
This is not the first time National Express Dundee has hit the headlines. In 2010 a driver was dismissed after falsely claiming assault by stone-throwing youths who had supposedly attacked his bus. In actual fact the driver was found to have hit himself over the head with a rock before making the allegation.
