German e-tailer (or online shop, to you and me) Zalando has created a concept car that can scan stylish passers-by, purchase their look and deliver the order directly to where the car is parked.
A whole raft of technology has been developed to make the fashionable motor work, including an iPad app that scans pedestrians, connects to the Internet and shops for a similar outfit.
> The order can then be delivered directly to where the car is parked thanks to advanced GPS location technology and stowed in specially designed clothes and shoes compartments in the boot.
The Mercedes A-Class has been completely overhauled by Swiss tuning firm Rinspeed, who decked the interior out in plush leather and stylish surfaces.
The firm even added a changing room feature that extends from the boot to allow the user to swap outfits on the spot.
Christian Meermann, Chief Marketing Officer at Zalando, said: "With our fashion concept car, we are going one step further and expressing our vision of mobile shopping development over the next five years, when customers can place orders from their car as easily as from their sofa."
Mr Meermann added: "We focused on time, which plays a huge role in today's hectic society, but also on the fun and playfulness we like to involve in digital shopping."
It certainly beats being dragged around the shops on a Sunday.
