The annual Honest John award ceremony yesterday saw the Ford Focus take top honours, winning Car of the Year.
The Focus also won Most Popular Small Family Car, while the Ford Mondeo took the large family car prize, and the Ford C-Max Most Popular MPV. Good day for Ford, then.
Honest John award winners are selected based on traffic through the website, with the most searched for cars declared the winners.
Honestjohn.co.uk editor Dan Harrison said: " It's no surprise to see the Ford Focus claiming the honestjohn.co.uk Car of the Year award for 2012. Ford is a hugely popular brand on the site and from the time the Focus was first reviewed, it's regularly topped our monthly chart as the most searched for car and it shows no sign of slowing down."
And Mark Ovenden of Ford said: "For Focus to be awarded Car of the Year is testimony to its style, practicality and high-tech options. The recent introduction of the game-changing new 1.0-litre EcoBoost powertrain has only enhanced its appeal and we look forward to welcoming the sporty Focus ST to the range shortly."
The Jaguar XF was named most popular large executive car, the Honda CR-V the most popular 4x4, and the new Porsche 911 the most popular sports car.
