Mistubishi is keen to point out that the ASX has been a success for them (out of interest, how many have you seen on the road?), so it's launching a special edition: The ASX Black.
The car features an all new black styling kit which features a set of black 17-inch alloys, roof, spoiler, mirrors and fog lamp surrounds. Inside you get black leather and carbon fibre inserts. So far, so blingy.
The car, based on the ASX4, was available from November 1st and comes in a variety of colours, only one of which is black. We challenge you to explain the merits of a 'Black' special edition painted in Kingfisher Blue.
There are two engines on offer, a 115bhp 1.6-litre petrol and a 147bhp 1.8-litre diesel. If you want 4WD you'll have to go for the diesel, and tick an extra box on the options list.
Other standard toys include sat nav, reversing camera, iPod connectivity, traction control, LED lights and Auto Stop & Go. There's plenty more in there, too.
If you're concerned about safety the ASX will suit you down to the ground – it achieved a full five EuroNCAP stars.
The ASX Black comes with a three year, unlimited mileage, warranty and prices start at £21,099.
