Jaguar Land Rover has announced that its looking for 1,000 new faces to join its ranks.
The 1,000 new faces will be working in the Land Rover factory in Solihul, West Mids. The boost in employment has been caused by JLR's stated ambition to launch 40 new products over the next five years (bring on the C-X16...).
Des Thurlby, JLR's HR Director, commented: "This is great news for Solihull. We shall be increasing the plant workforce by more than 25%. We have a loyal and committed workforce at Solihull. These jobs are well paid with great benefits. We provide high quality training and development for all our employees and we expect to receive many thousands of applications."
The recruitment campaign, launched today, will target production operators and skilled trades people via national radio and print adverts.
Imagine 1,000 people starting all at once - that's a fair few cups of tea for the boss.
