Stars to drive at Top Gear Live

Updated:

In November Top Gear live is unleashing its usual brand of crazy stunts and stunning supercars on Birmingham and London. Each venue will have its own bespoke track for the star cars to hoon around. This year's shows will also have celebrities taking to the track in a reasonably priced car, too. Not just Sabine Schmitz...

The stars will be driving the show's very own Kia Cee'd around the tracks, attempting to beat their famous colleagues' times. Top billing so far is Harry Potter's BFF Ron Weasley, or to use his muggle name: Rupert Grint.

Commenting on his appearance at the show, Rupert said: "I'm really looking forward to putting my time on the leader board at Top Gear Live this November. Hopefully, with a little bit of luck, the support of the crowd and some of The Stig's wisdom of course, I can come out the winner!"

We imagine he'll do pretty well considering his efforts on the actual Top Gear track:

Grint will be joined by a host of other celebrities. Olympic star Amy Williams, Blue Peter's Gethin Jones, Radio 2's Chris Evans, John Barnes and Carl Fogarty will also try their luck around the circuits. Interestingly, celebrity chef James Martin will also be having a go. We just hope he doesn't weep if his time isn't up there with the best...

Top Gear live will head to Birmingham's NEC from 11-13 November and ExCeL London from 24-27 November. Each celebrity will be there on different days, as follows:

Amy Williams (Saturday 12 November at The NEC, Birmingham)
Carl Fogarty (Saturday 12 November at The NEC, Birmingham
James Martin (Sunday 13 November at The NEC, Birmingham)
Gethin Jones (Sunday 13 November at The NEC, Birmingham and Sunday 27 Nov at ExCeL, London)
Chris Evans (Thursday 24 November at ExCeL, London)
Rupert Grint (Saturday 26 November at ExCeL, London)
John Barnes (Sunday 27 November at ExCeL, London)
