This is the Lotus's Evora S GP Edition, a limited run model of just three cars, each painted in a highly evocative black and gold paint job reminiscent of the John Player Special Lotus F1 cars of the '70s and '80s.
It also gets forged Diamond Cut design wheels and the interior Premium Pack from the Lotus options catalogue.
The latest Lotus actually takes its inspiration from the current F1 colour scheme – that'd be the proper Lotus team, not Team Lotus. It's still a confusing situation.
With only three on sale, ever (unless you commission the paint job for yourself), you;ll have to be quick to snap up one of these. There is one for sale here, however.
But at a time when Lotus's sales are dwindling badly, as Autoblog reported yesterday, isn't this another Lotus publicity stunt - and an expensive one for three punters, at that? Each car costs £69,950 - almost seven grand more than an Evora S 2+2.
The GP Edition is actually Lotus's second Evora special after the unnervingly odd Evora Freddie Mercury, snapped up by car nut Chris Evans.
We must admit though, it is nice to see a special from Lotus that isn't an Exige...
