Originally shown as a concept at the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show, the production version of the baby Volkswagen Up has make its debut at the same show this year.
Replacing the forgettable Fox, Volkswagen must be hoping for a healthy slice of the ever-expanding city car market with the Up.
The big news is that despite its tiny dimensions (3.5m long), some clever packaging means that the Up feels spacious inside.
Powered by a choice of new 59 and 74bhp, three-cylinder petrol engines (a Bluemotion diesel will be launched at a later date), the Up is an exciting addition to the VW range and Autoblog will bring you our first driving impressions next month before the model goes on sale in December with prices expected to start at £8,000.
