Public wants 20mph limits but not the enforcement

Motorists would like to see the introduction of more 20mph speed limits, particularly around schools, but is not keen to see the normal methods used to ensure drivers obey the restrictions.

The Institute of Advanced Motorists has found that 67 percent of drivers would like to see more areas around schools featuring the lower speed limits, while 38 percent would like to see the limits reduced in areas around shops and parks.
