Le Mans-winning Mazda returns to Goodwood

Mazda's celebrations to mark the 20th anniversary of its Le Mans victory with the 787B continue at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this weekend.

Visitors to the festival will be treated to a unique sight as the only rotary-powered car to win the 24 Hours takes to the hill just weeks after one of its winning drivers, Johnny Herbert, gave a demonstration drive to thousands of fans before the start of the 2011 Le Mans race.

The 787B's public return comes after a painstaking restoration and test programme brought it back to driving condition for the first time since it took to the track in 1991.

Ex-Formula 1 driver and Le Mans veteran Mike Wilds and current Mazda works driver Mark Ticehurst will be driving the 787B up the Goodwood hill throughout the festival weekend.
