Bullitt chase to be reshot in miniature

Some people have lots of time on their hands. In some cases this is a terrible thing, in others it's brilliant. On this particular occurrence, it's genius.

Someone with the moniker 'emigre' is devoting his (we hope) precious time to recreating the full car chase from the classic Steve McQueen movie, Bullitt, using slot cars. So far he's only been able to release a trailer but it's looking promising. San Francisco's streets look populated and true to the movie.

Emigre plans to have the complete chase ready some time early this year. We can't wait to see it and will bring you the full clip when it's finished. In the meantime, click below to check out the trailer.
