The first shots of an almost undisguised MINI Coupe have made it on to the web today, meaning the official launch of the production car can't be far away. It could even make its debut at the Geneva Motor Show next month.
The MINI Coupe is based on the attractive 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show concept car and thankfully very little looks to have changed from concept to production. However, some of the pictures show an automatic rear spoiler that pops up at speed, Audi TT-style.
Probably powered by the same 211bhp, 1.6-litre turbo petrol as the John Cooper Works hatch, sales should start in the autumn while the production version of the Roadster is expected in spring 2012.
