Porsche has revealed the new Boxster S Black Edition – a tweaked version of the roadster limited to 987 examples worldwide.
The special edition model is distinguished from the rest of the Boxster range with a unique, all-black colour scheme and bespoke badging inside and out.
The Black Edition isn't just a styling pack, though. Underneath Porsche has boosted the power to 320hp – 10hp more than the standard Boxster S thanks to a higher 7,200rpm redline.
That's enough to make the new car a tenth of a second faster than the standard version in the 0-62mph sprint at 5.2 seconds, and drops to 5.1 seconds if you opt for the seven-speed PDK transmission.
As you might expect from a range-topping limited edition model, the Black Edition also comes with extra kit as standard, including sat nav, climate control, MP3 interface, Bluetooth connectivity and an uprated stereo.
The car will go on sale in the UK next month following its appearance at the Geneva show with a starting price of £47,426.
