Video: Porsche 918 RSR honed on the track

Plenty has already been written about the new Porsche 918 RSR - revealed at Detroit yesterday - but sometimes it's best to sit back and watch a car in action. Porsche has released the car's unveil video which makes an explicit link to its iconic 1970s racer, the 917, and its other racing hybrid racer, the 911 GT3 R Hybrid.

The manufacturer also reiterates its intention to hone its newest halo model on the track, and use the knowledge gained to shape the production version expected next year.
