Audi has shown off a TT-based concept for an off-the-peg racing car that is designed to compete in the GT4 European Cup.
The car was developed by the Audi's technical and production divisions and the guys at Quattro and is set to go into full production from 2012 onwards.
It will come with a 335bhp engine and a twin-clutch S-tronic gearbox, and a modified version of the production suspension and adjustable dampers. No performance figures have yet been released, but expect it to be rapid.
The other changes over the road-going TT include a rear wing and a front and rear apron from the TT-RS, and a bonnet, bootlid and doors all made of carbon fibre reinforced plastic. The windows are made of plastic.
It will go on sale for around 120,000 Euros – about £110,000 – and is expected to sell in the European and Asian markets.
