Ferrari boss drives the new Lancia Stratos

On what must have been a tense day for its creators, the new and one-off Lancia Stratos has been put through its paces by Ferrari CEO Luca di Montezemolo.

After all, the new Stratos is loosely based around and carries the 4.3-litre V8 engine from the Ferrari F430, so there must have been a few crossed fingers and hopes that the Ferrari chief approved of the creation.

It would appear that he did approve though, reportedly declaring bellissima!" and "congratulazioni!" as he got out of the car. We're sure he secretly still thinks the F430 is better though.
