Video: Dodge Viper burnout puts us in the mood

We thought about kicking off the morning's news with a comprehensive look at General Motors' record $20bn share sale, but then we discovered this three minute dedication to the internal combustion engine.

One day in the not too distant future an energy depleted world will probably view videos like this one as completely abhorrent, but sitting here in 2010 it's hard not to marvel at the oh-so-simple combination of man, car, rubber, petrol, tarmac and hi-def digital film.

Even better is the description of the video on YouTube: 'Camera test with my car'. That's like having a threesome just to test your bed.
