James Bond's Aston sells for £2.6m

An American businessman has paid £2.6m to become just the second owner of the Aston Martin DB5 driven by Sean Connery in the classic James Bond films Goldfinger and Thunderball.

The iconic car was sold last night at an evening auction hosted by RM Auctions and Sothebys, but despite its mammoth selling price, the DB5 did not generate as much interest as predicted.
