Citroen has showcased its 2011 World Rally Championship contender, the DS3 WRC, for the first time at the Paris motor show.
This is the car Sebastien Loeb hopes will power him on to a potential eighth world title.
The French rallying superstar is currently battling for his seventh championship, but looks to have it all sewn up barring any unfortunate circumstances.
The DS3 WRC is Citroen's first crack at new WRC regulations that are being introduced for the 2011 season.
Based on the current S2000 format, the cars will have 1.6-litre turbocharged engines. The engine in the DS3 produces 300bhp, and the car itself boasts a 6-speed sequential transmission and front and rear mechanical differentials.
Sebastiens Loeb and Ogier have been confirmed for the works Citroen team next season – although it is rumoured that privateer and former world champion Petter Solberg could be given a DS3 WRC after his impressive showings this year.
The first WRC event for the new car will be in Sweden next February.
