Nissan uses polar bear to advertise new Leaf

Nissan has got close enough to the launch of its new Leaf to start sending out adverts for the electric car that is due to hit our roads at the beginning of next year.

This American advert could be taken one of two ways. It sees a polar bear leave his melting ice cap and trek into an urban area to thank a man for choosing a Leaf.

We aren't sure about whether it would work quite as well over here. What do you reckon – is it a case of "Look at the cute liddle fwuffy polar bear!" or is it just a bit cringe-worthy?
