Mazda has revealed the new face of the upgraded 2 hatchback which will be officially unveiled at the Paris motor show next month.
As well as the facelift, which grafts the manufacturer's corporate nose onto the supermini, the Mazda 2 will also feature improved interior styling.
The car's new looks bring it into line with the rest of the Mazda range, and the model's engine line-up has been revised to meet the new Euro V emissions standards.
Mazda will also offer an automatic version of the hatchback for the first time, and says it has upgraded the chassis for improved ride comfort over the previous generation.
The Mazda 2 was voted World Car of the Year 2008. The facelifted model will be launched at Paris alongside the Mazda 5, which gets a new 113bhp 1.6-litre diesel engine.
