Video: LFA loud enough to shatter glass

Updated

Noise pollution, emissions regulations and general distaste towards anyone with large amounts of money mean that making an advert for a supercar is pretty tricky right now.

Audi showed this when it chose to film the R8 convertible in slow motion in a white room, but at least Lexus's take on the matter for its LFA supercar ad includes some random destruction to appease power fans.

It involves a champagne flute, a microphone and the exhaust note from that staggering 4.8-litre V10 engine. Apparently they worked out the precise point of the rev range that is needed to shatter the glass without involving any artificial trickery.
