Video: Coke and Mentos don't hold the key to zero-emission transport

Many of us have seen the explosion that occurs when mints are introduced to a fizzy drink such as Coke - there are plenty of videos of people carrying out the experiment on the web - but trust the Americans to take the sticky mess to its logical conclusion.


Fritz Grobe and Stephen Voltz of Buckfield, Maine attached 108 two-litre bottles of Coke Zero to a bike trailer to find out just how far 648 Mentos would propel them.
