Artist Ian Cook is attempting to create a 10m by 5m painting today, using a motorbike, racing cars and a lorry as his paintbrushes.
Cook has already made a name for himself in the art world by painting using remote controlled cars, but today is tackling a project of a slightly larger scale – and we have the whole thing on video for you on Autoblog.
Cook will start off by creating the detail of the picture by using his 'normal' method of painting with the toy remote controlled cars, and then finish it off with a go kart, a racing motorbike, a Formula Two racing car, a Caterham R300 and a British Truck Racing Championship Lorry.
The piece is being created to celebrate a big promotion that Comma oil is holding, that will see the company give away up to £2m worth of tickets to race events. Anyone buying a pack of Comma's Performance Motor Oil will be able to use the promotional code on the bottle to claim tickets to events at Cadwell Park, Oulton Park, Snetterton or Brands Hatch.
More details on the competition can be found here.
