GM's Segway-based concept points to the' future of the car'

Updated

General Motors has unveiled an electric concept 'car' that it is suggesting as a "solution for tomorrow's drivers". And it's based on the Segway.

The EN-V is an upright, two-seat, electric powered vehicle that, according to GM: "Was designed to alleviate concerns surrounding traffic congestion, parking availability, air quality and affordability for tomorrow's cities."

Essentially it is an enclosed, car-like version of the Segway - the strange, upright scooter that is powered by electricity.
