Audi releases first A1 teaser

Updated

Audi has released the first official picture of its Mini-rivalling A1 hatchback that's due to make its world debut at the Geneva motor show in March 2010.

Instead of releasing a teaser shot of the actual car, Audi has chosen to give us a graffiti-style artist's impression although pictures of the real thing should appear in February.

Audi first hinted at making a supermini back in 2007 with the A1 project Quattro, and showed off a five-door version at the Paris motor show in 2008.

The A1 promises to be a four-seat, five-door supermini that joins the Alfa Romeo Mito in being a genuine rival to the BMW-made Mini, against which it is likely be priced.
