Volkswagen will be introducing a new reworked estate version of the Golf with the three equipment options called Trendline, Comfortline and Highline. The engine options at the launch will be a TSI with 122bhp, as well as two common rail turbo diesels with a choice between 105bhp and 140bhp. Delivery of the first cars to customers will be made at the end of July and after that, additional engine options will be available.
Unlike its predecessor, this design will no longer incorporate a chrome radiator grille but will be recognisable by a black horizontal barred grille and a bumper matching the car's colour. Lower down, the Variant will also bear a further large air inlet. The basic price of the new Golf Variant is around 18,500 euros.
