Frazer-Nash + Giugiaro = Namir

Updated

Frazer-Nash: sounds like a boxing match from a few decades back with a typo. In fact, it's a British marque with a pedigree stretching back to 1923. Since the 90s, they have been a market leader in the development and production of hybrid systems for the automotive world. The company of Italdesign Giugiaro has styled countless bodies for vehicles of every class, first coming to prominence with the VW Golf Mark I.

This dynamic duo have now got together to produce the fastest, greenest hybrid car yet. The designation 'Namir' is Arabic in origin, meaning 'tiger'. And this big cat shows its claws both inside and out. It's a real lightweight at 1,450 kilograms. The electric motors deliver 370bhp and accelerate from 0 to 100kph in 3.5 seconds. It is claimed the Namir can reach a maximum speed of 300kph. So no suggestion of this particular tiger slinking along.
