Ford Kuga : A motor of many talents with attractive design

Things are happening at Ford. The host of new models of recent months from the S-Max through the Galaxy to the Mondeo are all said to have been successes. The Focus and C-Max have just been freshened up, and this autumn will see the rollout of the new Fiesta and the successor to the Ka. Nobody can speak of Ford being parked at the side of the road, as work continues in Cologne at high levels with the market introduction of the Kuga compact SUV looming. The design is progressive and the body shell can certainly be classified as 'family-sized'. From bumper to bumper, this five-seater measures 4.4 metres and the luggage compartment extends from 360 to 1,355 litres with the rear seats folded down.

Ford has announced the first prices in advance of the Geneva Motor Show, where the series version will be exhibited. Thus the (front-wheel drive only) 136bhp diesel will cost 26,500 euros, amounting to a saving of 2,300 euros compared to a VW Tiguan diesel, which delivers 140bhp; albeit with the added benefit of 4-wheel drive. The 4-wheel drive version of the Ford costs 28,500 euros, which is also 300 euros less than its Wolfsburg competitor.
