Ferrari: Codename "Project F142"

There are hardly any details, but speculation is fair enough in the case of the new Ferrari. It seems that the Ferrari F430 will soon have a successor.

The code name is Project F142, and the new red racer is to feature the direct injection and dual-clutch transmission that already made their debut with the Ferrari California. It's believed that the braking system will again be provided by affiliate company Magneti Marelli, that the prancing horse will have a V8 engine and will be lighter than its predecessor.

So much for speculation. The debut of the new Ferrari is expected in October and the Frankfurt Motor Show could well be the venue for it being unveiled, so we wait with bated breath!
