Gah! We can't take it! I think I speak for many of us when I say that one of my dream pets would be a rescue raccoon and Louie here is so adorable my heart may burst.

Cadbury announces that "Louie is a two-year-old raccoon from Miami, FL who was rescued by his owner Jaime in 2021 after he had been deemed unfit to live in the wild. When he isn’t lounging in his favorite tree, he’s busy fundraising for wildlife rescue & rehabilitation centers by creating art using his toe-painting skills!"

The other finalist in this competition was one of our favorite social media stars, a cat named Loki who you may know from his affinity for dressing up in costumes.

Loki graciously congratulated Louie with, "We said it from the beginning: if loki didn’t win this thing, it HAD to be louie—congratulations @louietheraccoon !! you guys really deserve the win…i hope that louie representing Cadbury helps show more people how adorable raccoons really are, and helps raise awareness about amazing wildlife rescues like @samadhi_wildlife"

Other bunny contenders that made the top 8 were a bearded dragon named Apollo, a precious bunny named Sheldon, a sweet special needs rescue kitty named Mia, Mocha, a three-year-old Pittie mix who was recently adopted from the Sacramento SPCA, Gravy, an adorable cat that was abandoned by his previous owners before finding his forever home, and a horse named Manny.

As the winner, Louis will receive up to $7,000 in cash prizes and the opportunity to star in the next Cadbury commercial.

Last year's spokes-bunny was a beautiful one-eyed rescue cat named Crash from Boise, Idaho. Crash was rescued after a devastating car accident where he was severely injured and left with one eye. As he began to heal at a local shelter, his quirky, outgoing personality made everyone quickly fall head over heels for him, leading Crash to become their resident shelter cat. Crash charms and impresses people as they visit the shelter, performing tricks like high five – the purrfect preparation for his starring role in the Cadbury Clucking Bunny commercial.
