Brazen fly-tippers have dumped a 28-foot-long mobile home at the side of a road.

The motor home packed full of wardrobes and pushchairs was abandoned on the A40 near Beaconsfield, just yards from a recycling centre.

The cream-coloured vehicle has rubbish piled out of its smashed windows, including bed frames and discarded number plates.

A local spotted the abandoned vehicle earlier this month, posting on FixMyStreet: "I see that this was reported on the 1st September and still there today 12th September.

"What is the council's excuse for this one not getting it removed and prosecuting the person whose number plate is in the original photo left on September 1."

Social media users reacted in astonishment to the fly-tipping, with someone asking how CCTV cameras had not spotted the culprit.

A spokesman for Buckinghamshire council said: "Our Highways Team are aware of the caravan and are arranging for it to be removed as soon as possible."

On Monday, residents in n Willenhall, West Midlands, spoke out about a huge 32ft mountain of rubbish dumped by fly-tippers.

Shocking pictures show stacks of household rubbish, including bin liners, mattresses, wooden pallets and scrap metal on Straight Road.

Neighbours called for action amid fears for their health and concerns the enormous rat-infested mound is a fire risk.

Firefighters previously spent hours tackling a blaze at the site on the Arrow Industrial Estate when the rubbish caught fire last April.

Mum-of-two Gina Howells, 33, who lives nearby, said: "It's not only a massive eyesore but a health and fire risk as well.

"It absolutely stinks and we've seen rats running about. I'm worried for the health of my children and don't understand how it has been allowed to grow this big."

A Walsall Council spokesperson said: “Walsall Council is working with the Environment Agency to resolve the issues at this site.

"We are also in dialogue with the landowner, who is understood to be taking action to remove those responsible for the problems.”
